BJP demands Chandy's resignation
Speaking to mediapersons here, George Kurian, Spokesperson of State BJP, said relinquishing the vigilance department was not sufficient since Chandy being the Chief Minister could decide who should conduct the probe, he said.
"Today being Quit India day, Chandy could quit the office, because all corrupt persons will have to go out," he said.
Anybody charged with corruption should not cling to power, he said. The recent bus fare hike had adversely affected the people and government should rollback the hike immediately,he said.
The party's high power committee will meet at Thiruvananthapuram tomorrow to chalk out future course of action on the bus fare hike, he said.
