Being the world's largest social networking site, Facebook would be your favourite one. But, after 'friending' and posting your status updates for years, you may be bored of this daily practice. Even some users found that they are too obsessed with Facebook and spent a lot time in front of computers. So, just follow these steps to take a break or even for deleting your Facebook account.
Take a Short Break:
If you feel like taking a temporary break from Facebook, this is the best method. This option helps you to get yourself away from Facebook notifications, alerts and tagging. But your friends may not be knowing about your 'break' and will continue to post on your walls, send messages and tag on photos.
In this step, you can turn off of Facebook email notification, delete Facebook app from phone or remove Facebook bookmark on browser.
In your Facebook profile - Go to account menu > Select Account Settings > Select the notifications tab > Remove the alerts you don't want to receive.
Deactivate Facebook Account:
When you're damn bored or frustrated of Facebook, you can think about this option. These steps allow you to deactivate your account and disappear from Facebook immediately. Anybody searching for you can't find you on Facebook, but your messages, posts, photos, videos will be stored on Facebook. In case you think to rejoin, you can again activate your account! A simple Hide & Seek method.
In your Facebook profile - Go to Account menu > Select Account Settings > Select Security > Select last option 'Deactivate your account' > Click on the Link > Window opens with options to select the Reason for leaving > Click Confirm.
To activate your account, just login to Facebook with your User ID and Password!
