Indira Gandhi International Airport
New Delhi, Aug 7: Terminal 3 at the Indira Gandhi International airport in New Delhi have had to face a complete power black out for close to 5 hours late Saturday night due to a technical glitch. The power was however restored on Sunday. The power outage occurred at 1:30 am and was restored only by 6:30 am on Sunday.

The operations in the particular terminal was much affected and all check-ins had to be done manually. The security checks were also not functional leading to serious lapses in security in one of the busiest airports in the country.

The passengers had to face a harrowing time with sme of them denied entry into the terminal and others left grappling in the dark. Many present there raised their voice on the lax attitude of the authorities and expressed concern on the sorry state of affairs in an airport of such repute.

The Terminal-3 has only been functional since a year and was touted as one of the busiest in the region. With many other security lapses reported earlier as well, this one comes as real shocker when the security of the whole nation is compromised over a glitch that could have been best avoided.
