"We support Anna Hazare in his fight for the strong Lokpal Bill. On Aug 16, when Annaji would go on a fast, we have decided to show our support by asking our customers not to give tiffins for deliver," said the spokesperson of the association of the dabbawalas.
The famous business of the dabbawalas is being scattered all over Mumbai. More than 2,00,000 people reportedly get the service for homemade lunch packs everyday at a very low cost.
The dabbawalas, who had supported Baba Ramdev during his protest over blackmoney, said, "We will meet our customers next week in this regard. However, it is upto the customers whether they want to extend support by not giving tiffin boxes on Aug 16."
After the UPA failed to please Anna and his team with the government version draft of Lokpal Bill, Hazare decided to resume his protest in the national capital as he had vowed earlier.
