Mumbai, Aug 6: Popular Bollywood director-producer Ram Gopal Verma (RGV) has landed in a fresh legal spat over his upcoming movie 'Not A Love Story' which is scheduled to be released on Aug 19. Maria Susairaj sent a legal notice to RGV.

According to the notice, Maria Susairaj has asked the Bollywood director-producer to allow her to preview the movie before it gets released. Maria also threatened Ram Gopal Verma of charging him in civil and criminal act if the movie is released without her consent.

"The story of the film is based on the case prepared by the police and wrongly publicised by the media which was not proved before the court and it is proved that the police have falsely implicated her in the offence," stated Maria in her notice to RGV.

"Therefore, no body has the right to form an opinion till the final outcome of the said appeal (is known) by way of writing the story or releasing film," added Maria.

RGV's new movie - Not A Love Story is based on the real life of the South Indian model-actress Maria Susairaj who was accused of the murder of television executive, Neeraj Grover.

Grover was brutally slaughtered on May 7, 2008 by Maria's fiance, Emile Jerome, a Navy officer. Neeraj's body was cut in pieces with a knife purchased for the purpose, transported to another suburb in gunny bags, where the corpse was set on fire. Maria and Jerome were arrested soon after the crime.

Maria was found guilty of destroying evidences. While Maria was freed by the court after serving a term of three years, Jerome has been imprisoned for 10 years.
