AOL launches free iPad digital magazine Editions

New York, Aug 5: The United States based global Internet services and media company, AOL has announced the launch of a digital newspaper known as Editions exclusively for Apple iPad tablets.

The AOL Editions can be regarded as newspaper or a digital magazine as it brings news and articles according to users' interest. The iPad users can customize the Editions by indicating their interest in topics such as Top News, Entertainment, Sports, Design, Tech, Business, Family, Health and Fitness, Sports or Travel.

"Editions by AOL is a beautiful, new, daily magazine that learns what you like, and what you don't. It finds the best articles that match your interests and delivers you a magazine made just for you, each and every day. With Editions, you spend less time searching and more time reading what interests you," AOL said in Editions' website.

AOL also launched an app for Editions and users can download it from Apple iTunes Store. Moreover, users can link their Facebook, Twitter and AOL accounts with this app. The followers in Twitter and Facebook will become the primary source of news for the users.

Also, by giving local postal code, location data users will get local weather reports and local news through Editions.

"Once you start reading, Editions will learn what you like (and what you don't). The more you read, the better Editions gets at delivering the latest news and information, all tailored to your tastes," AOL said.

AOL, which acquired The Huffington Post in Feb 2011, is aiming to extend their services to various platforms.
