Cong's another flip-flop: Sonia Gandhi to undergo surgery
Janardhan Dwivedi, who initially informed the media about Sonia's "successful surgery", has taken back his words when he rectified his statement.
"Mrs Gandhi was recently diagnosed with a medical condition and upon the advice of her doctors, has travelled abroad for surgery," said Dwivedi without disclosing the exact location of the Congress president.
US: Sonia Gandhi undergoes surgery, skips Parliament session
Congress President Sonia Gandhi underwent a surgery in the USA. Sources said that she is recovering after the operation.
Sonia Gandhi skipped the monsoon session of the Parliament as she was reportedly suffering a medical condition. The Parliament session has already been commenced from Aug 1.
Congress spokesperson Janardhan Dwivedi informed that AK Anthony, Rahul Gandhi, Ahmed Patel and Dwivedi himself will take care of the responsibilities carried out by Sonia in the party.
Party sources, however, denied to disclose the location where Sonia Gandhi is currently admitted. Congress General Secretary Rahul Gandhi is also accompanying his mother in US, said reports.
