Chennai, Aug 4: It seems that Tamil Nadu Chief Minister Jayalalithaa will not spare a single man who belongs to M Karunanidhi's DMK camp. After MK Stalin, now on Thursday, Aug 4 two more DMK leaders have been arrested.

The two DMK leaders - Erode Mayor Vishwanathan and KPP Raja were taken under custody over illegal land grabbing case. Jayalalithaa claimed that the two leaders' arrest was based on genuine complaints.

Many senior DMK leaders have already been thrashed behind the prison over the same illegal land grabbing charges. Aide of Karunanidhi's wife Rajathiammal, Ramesh was detained on Aug 1. Another accused, Thambirajan was arrested on Jul 30. Veerpansi Arumugam, ex-minister and Anbazhagan, an MLA were the two more accused.

The complaints against the DMK leaders claimed that they had been living in the area for about 20 years and the accused had used their influence with the Revenue Department and demolished all their houses and converted them into plots and began selling them.

However, former deputy CM of Tamil Nadu and DMK leader MK Stalin was also arrested twice when he (Stalin) along with other party workers staged protest against the Jayalaithaa government.

DMK has been facing Jayalalithaa's wrath since she became the CM of the state and is allegedly hurling false charges against the DMK. Karunanidhi claimed that arrests of DMK leaders were a political vendetta.
