It has been reported that a GOP activist's website posted Magazzu's nude pictures which were sent by Magazzu himself to a woman. Magazzu claimed that he has been maintaining courtship with the woman through online since several years.
Magazzu claimed that he forwarded those pictures after the woman requested him to do so. "I did not know that she was working with an avowed political enemy to distribute these pictures," said Magazzu and also added, "I have retained counsel to determine what laws may have been broken by the unauthorised distribution of those pictures."
The 53-year-old former US senate also apologised to his family members, friends while indicting the website over "framing" him in the entire controversy.
Media reports say that at least two of the photos revealed his crotch, two photos showed him fully dressed in a suit and a fifth showed him from the waist up, shirtless.
Earlier in Jun 2011, another US senate Anthony Weiner was forced to resign when he was entangled in a similar kind of controversy. Weiner acknowledged sending sexually explicit messages and photos to several women online.
