New Delhi, Aug 3: Delhi police, which has been appointed for the investigation on Cash-for-votes scam, rubbished media reports that all accused politicians including Amar Singh received clean chit in scandal.

The police claimed that they have not yet provided clean chit to any of the accused as they still continue their investigation on the biggest political scandal in the country.

The statement from the police spokesperson came when on Wednesday, Aug 3 media reports emerged criticising the police for failing to accumulate enough evidences to bruise the politicians.

The police will submit its status report to the Supreme Court on Wednesday. Police also criticised the media which has claimed that police report is based only on the account of Suhail Hindustani, the detained aide of former Samajwadi Party leader Amar Singh. Hindustani allegedly played a liaison between Amar Singh and BJP MPs who were allegedly offered bribe to buy their (BJP MPs) vote for the trust vote in 2008.

The apex court earlier had bashed the police over its lethargic investigation in the whole cash-for-votes scandal which had stirred the nation during trust vote in the Parliament over of the Indo-US nuclear deal in 2008.
