Cash-for-votes: No politicians in biggest political scam!
According to the sources, police claimed that the investigating officials were left empty handed in accumulating proofs which could bruise any of the accused politicians in the cash-for-vote scam.
The police will submit its status report to the Supreme Court on Wednesday, Aug 3. The report is based on the account of Sohail Hindustani, the detained aide of former Samajwadi Party leader, Amar Singh. Hindustani allegedly played a liaison between Amar Singh and BJP MPs who were allegedly offered bribe to buy their (BJP MPs) vote for the trust vote in 2008.
The apex court earlier had bashed the police over its lethargic investigation in the whole cash-for-votes scandal which had stirred the nation during trust vote in the Parliament over of the Indo-US nuclear deal in 2008.
