Bangalore: Married woman gang raped

Bangalore, Aug 2: A 40-year-old woman was gang raped by unidentified men, while she was on her way back home at Nayanadahalli, Chandra Layout, Bangalore.

The victim was also robbed off her money and jewellery by the three men. In her statement the woman said that two men stopped her was at around 11.30 pm in the night when she climbed down a bus.

"They threatened me of dire consequences if I resisted. I was taken to an isolated corner near a building and one of the accused called his friend on them mobile, asking him to join them," said her statement after which she was raped and then looted off her jewellery and cash Rs 4,000.

"Her family is in Mandya and she visits them every weekend. She had gone to Mandya on Saturday and returned to Bangalore by a bus on Sunday night," said S N Sidramappa, DCP-West.

A rape case has been filed by police and are on a lookout for the accused.

"The victim says she can identify the accused," added policemen.
