Silvino Berlusconi and Muammar Gaddafi
Rome, Jul 31: A popular daily in Italy - Corriere della Sera claimed that Libyan leader Muammar Gaddafi has vowed to assassinate Italian Prime Minister, Silvio Berlusconi.

The newspaper stated that Berlusconi, who always remains in limelight over his hyped-sexual lifestyle, received information about Gaddafi's plan but the PM refused to disclose his "reliable source."

The paper also claimed that Gaddafi wants to put an end to Burlusconi's life and "does not refer" to his (Burlusconi's) "political death."

The PM was quoted as saying, "Because that's what he (Gaddafi) decided, he swore to this himself." Many people started speculating that as Italy plays a key role in the battle against Gaddafi, the Libyan leader has expressed his desire to take revenge.

Libya has been witnessing a political turmoil demanding ouster of Gaddafi. A joint international military action was conducted against Gaddafi and his supporters.
