Karnataka: Yeddyurappa breaks down at a felicitation event
Meanwhile, BSY has already sent in his resignation letter to BJP Party President Nitin Gadkari at 7:30am on Sunday (today). He is expected to send in his formal resignation to Karnataka Governor HR Bharadwaj at 3:30pm.
He is believed to have faxed the resignation letter to Gadkari and stated that he would abide by the party High Command's decision and did not step down earlier due to astrological reasons.
The talks on Yeddyurappa's successor remains inconclusive with the BJP keen on putting either Jagadish Shettar or Ananth Kumar in the top post of CM. Yeddyurappa on the other hand wants to place Sadananda Gowda as his successor.
With the BJP giving Yeddyurappa the freedom to choose his successor, he has also set forth conditions to step down. Foremost in the conditions is that he be made the State BJP President. There are rumours doing the rounds that the BJP is not too keen on making him party chief in the state.
