Bangalore, Jul 29: Not only did BS Yeddyurappa's political career shrink after his name was indicted in the Lokayukta report by Santosh Hedge, but the mining companies are also under the radar after the report accused them of their involvement in the mining loop.

Three companies-NMDC, Adani Enterprises and Jindal Group, all Jindal companies have been mentioned in the report for their alleged involvement in the illegal mining scam and financial irregularities. The report accuses JSW Steel for making compensates to get leases in return.

Mining leases for South West Mining, Vijaynagar Minerals and JSW Steel were in consideration to be bought since 2007 but were not bought until Mar-Jul 2010.

The report also avers that South West Mining, a Jindal group company paid Rs 20 crore for one acre land owned by the BSY's family in Rachenahalli, which is only worth Rs 1.25 crore.

National Mining Development Corporation (NMDC) has also been accused in the report for selling iron ore of high quality below market rates.

Adani Group, a Gujarat based Indian conglomerate has also been mentioned in the report which alleges the company of exporting illegal iron ore.

Though none of the companies have responded to the Lokayukta report, it is likely that the companies will soon be under the scanner.
