New Delhi, Jul 28: In the wake of fresh charges made by former Telecom Minister A Raja in court, BJP on Wednesday held a meeting of its senior MPs to formulate a strategy on taking up the issue in the forthcoming Parliament Session.

"The meeting had been planned much earlier, it was specially held to discuss the new developments on the 2G issue. We met specifically for that," BJP chief spokesman Ravishankar Prasad said after the meeting.

Party sources said the meeting was held to discuss fresh charges made by Raja in court against Home Minister P Chidambaram and Prime Minister Manmohan Singh. The BJP plans to raise this issue in Monsoon session of Parliament.

The BJP has already demanded the resignation of the Prime Minister and Chidambaram, who was the Finance Minister when the controversial 2G spectrum allocations were made.

The meeting, held at BJP Parliamentary Party chief L K Advani's residence, was attended by Leader of Opposition in the Lok Sabha Sushma Swaraj, PAC Chairman Murli Manohar Joshi, BJP Deputy Leader in Rajya Sabha S S Ahluwalia, MPs Prakash Javadekar, Shirpad Naik among others.
