Nitish Kumar lambasts Lalu Prasad

Patna, Jul 28: Chief Minister Nitish Kumar today (Jul 28) hit back against RJD supremo Lalu Prasad for his utterances against the former and said it reflected that he had not taken any lesson even from the crushing defeat of his party in the 2010 assembly polls in Bihar.

''Laluji is sticking to his old habit (of criticising NDA),'' he said.

The RJD leader broke his silence for the first time in six months since the assembly polls and had castigated Nitish Kumar government for its alleged failures on all fronts. Deputy Chief Minister S K Modi said as much as Lalu could speak against it will help and favour NDA.

''Prasad's utterances against us will continue to remind the people of the state of jungle raj, anarachy and chaos that prevailed during the 15-year-long rule of RJD,'' he said.

Modi also ridiculed Prasad saying he repeated the same rhetoric of mismanagement of EVMs for being the reason for RJD's defeat.

Referring to Congress' demonstration in New Delhi against alleged irregularities in allotment of land by Bihar Industrial Area Development Authority (BIADA), Modi said it showed that the party had ''crossed the limits of shamelessness.''

''No auction has taken place for allotment of plots by BIADA even during erstwhile Congress and RJD governments ... The provisions of not going for auction exist since 1974 when BIADA has been set up,'' he said adding the same procedure was being followed in allotment of plots by the body.
