Bangalore, Jul 28: Despite pressure mounting on Karnataka chief minister BS Yedyurappa to resign, the adamant CM said that the 'Namma Metro' Project was waiting for him to inaugurate operations.

"Metro is ready. It may be waiting for me to inaugurate the commercial operations," said BSY at a ceremony in Valagerahalli.

Though his statement is true, the CM seems to be unaware of the safety certification, which is necessary for the commercial operations of the metro.

The date to finalise the launch of the metro can only be decided after the commissioner gives a green signal. Even after the commissioner's approval, the centre which has to give its approval on the whole project.

Meanwhile, despite facing adversity from the BJP officials, Yeddyurappa said that he would not resign.

Calling for an emergency meeting in Bangalore, Yeddyurappa is likely to decide his next course of action. But the BJP on an offensive has said that any party members who are intent to attend this meeting will be sacked.
