Hina Rabbani Khar gets devout in maiden official Ind visit
Khar was lauded for her mature handling of the sensitive Foreign Minister level talks between India and Pakistan. She had also won praise for her stunning looks and for her suave disposition, a quality that was rare in the bureaucratic circles in both countries.
Hina Rabbani Khar's itinerary will see her traveling to Rajasthan's capital of Jaipur on Thursday morning and will later proceed to Ajmer from there. The Sufi shrine attracts both celebrities and commoners and is highly revered. The shrine is dedicated to the Sufi saint who came to Ajmer from Persia way back in 1192 and welcome pilgrims throughout the year.
She will visit the shrine and offer her prayers before returning to Jaipur and then home. Khar had also expressed her desire to visit the Jama Masjid in New Delhi and offer her prayers. The plan did not fall through due to security reasons.
She is understood to have visited India twice earlier on personal visits. India's Foreign Minister SM Krishna stating that the diplomatic discussions were "on the right track" had also extended an invitation to Khar to visit India's booming IT hub of Bangalore.
