Scientists will predict earthquakes in 10 years: Kalam
Scientists were now able to predict natural disasters such as cyclone, tsunami and others almost accurately, and methods to develop prediction of earthquake was being developed in various laboratories around the world, Kalam said.
Interacting with the students of the Sitalakshmi Ramaswamy College for Women here, he said women were increasingly playing important roles in various spheres.
Adding that to get to the top they only needed self confidence and courage, he pointed out that it was three women scientists who tracked the recently launched Geo Satellite at Hasan near Bangalore and it was also successfully tracked and manoeuvred at crucial stages by them.
He said the teachers should allow students to pose more and more questions and be creative in the class room atmosphere.
The teachers should win the respect of the students by their knowledge and brilliance, and be role models to the students, he said.
