BSY puts up brave front; Lokayukta seeking to prosecute CM?
Sources have revealed that Yeddyurappa will most likely be named in the report with Lokayukta seeking the prosecution of the CM under the Prevention of Corruption Act. He has also been accused of receiving kickbacks from mining companies to the tune of crores. His family members are also under the radar for accepting bribes.
The other recommendations of the Lokayukta include indictment of the Reddy Brothers who have major clout in the mining district of Bellary and will be asked to pay up for the loss caused to the exchequer. Sources have revealed that former CM HD Kumaraswamy and Congress MP Anil Lad have also been named in the report.
Meanwhile, Yeddyurappa seemed to portray an extremely confident self in the face of such adversity and said that he will not dissolve the Assembly and will complete his five-year term. He was quoted as saying, "The final decision on quitting will be mine only. BJP will rule the state for another 25 years and I will rule as the CM for two years."
