Malayalam Superstar Mohanlal quizzed by I-T officials

Kochi, Jul 27: The I-T officials who reached superstar Mohanlal's residence in Kochi on Jul 26, quizzed the star in connection with the raids.

A group of I-T officials reached the superstar's residence in Thevara to collect information regarding the star's immoveable and movable assets declared by him.

Mohanlal reached from Rameswaram where he was shooting for a movie, to the city on Jul 26.

The actor was also interrogated by the I-T officials at the shooting location last week. Two elephant tusks were seized by the tax men from his residence earlier.

The two actors - Mohanlal and Mammootty were nailed down after there were reports that the two superstars amassed large portion of their wealth in Dubai to save themselves from paying taxes.

The residence and offices of Malayalam superstars, Mammootty and Mohanlal were raided by the Income Tax Department on Jul 22.

Meanwhile, a detailed report on their findings is being prepared by the I-T officials.
