Chennai, Jul 26: It seems that Tamil Nadu chief minister Jayalalithaa will not leave a single man who were loyalists to former CM Karunanidhi. Former Tamil Nadu Intelligence Chief MS Jaffar, who was one of the close aides to the DMK supremo, faced wrath from a team of Directorate of Vigilance and Anti-corruption on Tuesday, Jul 26.

At least ten places in Chennai have been raided at the wee hours of Tuesday. Jaffer's residence was one of the main targets of the investigative team who conducted the surprise raids.

Jaffer was not alone in the list who faced the wrath (of Jayalalithaa). Others whose residences too were raided are - Sait, who headed the state intelligence wing in the previous DMK regime; Karunanidhi's Personal security officers (PSO) P Pandian, C Ganesan, C Vinothan and IAS officer K Rajamanickam, one of the secretaries to Karunanidhi during his reign in Tamil Nadu.

The officials' houses were raided on the grounds of FIRs filed against them and their kins over misappropriate handling of land/plots allotted to them under Tamil Nadu Housing Board under the government's discretionary quota.
