The 20-year-old from Bengaluru paid for her first round of 81, when she was unable to adjust to the conditions. But the second day was a great experience as she had four birdies against four bogeys. Her birdies came on third, sixth, 16th and 18th.
Japan's Miki Saiki was the halfway leader as her second round 67 took her to nine-under 135. She is a shot ahead of Maria Hjorth (69), Shin-Ae Ahn (69), Ai Miyazoto (68) and Angela Stanford (66).
