Ramdev's aide Balakrishna holds fake degree certificates

Varanasi, Jul 23: Another fresh controversy surfaced to bruise the close aide of Baba Ramdev - Acharya Balakrishna. Investigation reports claimed that Balakrishna's degree certificates are fake.

The investigating agency Cengtral Bureau of Investigation (CBI) claimed that certificates from the Varanasi University submitted by Balakrishna are fake.

Supporting CBI's claim, the registrar of Sampurnanand Sanskrit University, Rajnish Shukla said, "The enrollment numbers indicated in the fudged documents belong to a different student."

Continuing his statement, the official also informed, "Balkrishna's two degrees Purv Madhyma, a high school degree issued in 1991 and Shastri, a Sanskrit degree in 1996 don't figure in the university's records."

"The documents show Krishna Sanskrit Mahavidyalaya, an affiliate of the university, as the issuing authority. The Vice-Chancellor has declared the documents fake," added Shukla.

Earlier, the yoga guru's aide emerged in a controversy over his citizenship and passport row. Balkrishna posses two birth certificates, both issued by different state governments with two different states.

Balakrishna for a long time been surrounded by fake passport controversy. However Balakrishna refuted all charges and said that he was a nautralised citizen.

Balakrishna had gone missing after the famous police crackdown at Ramlila Maidan, however he came back on television claiming he had not disappeared.
