Bangalore, Jul 21: Lokayukta Chief Santosh Hegde on Thursday, Jul 21 claimed that his phone was being tapped following the illegal mining scam, under which Karnataka CM Yedyurappa and former CM Kumaraswamy has been named directly. Hegde claimed that Yeddyurappa has direct links to the trust, through which he (Yeddyurappa) received money.

Hegde said that the state had a loss of more than 1800 crores and the role of Yeddyurappa's son and brothers have also been nailed. Hegde complained that no action was taken on his interim report.

As Kumaraswamy has also been named in the mining report, the former CM said that he was ready to face probe. Hedge is awaiting the final reports and denied to comment on the recent status of the mining report.

This longest standing scam in the country was probed by the Lokayukta and the final report was expected to come out in August. The report will also have inputs from the CBI and Income Tax department who have made extensive investigation into the case.
