Lokayukta Chief Santosh Hegde said that the state had a loss of more than 1800 crores and complained that no action was taken on his interim report. He also claimed that his phone was being tapped following the illegal mining scam, under which Karnataka CM Yedyurappa and former CM Kumaraswamy have been named directly. Hegde claimed that Yeddyurappa has direct links to the trust, through which he (Yeddyurappa) received money.
It was Times Now Channel that first broke the details of mining scam reports on Wednesday 8.30 pm, Jul 20. But, the channel denied to mention the source behind the mining scam report expose. They have decided to keep it confidential.
The government reacted to the exposure of reports and ordered a probe against the confidential exposure. Meanwhile, Congress member Ambika Soni said that all allegations against the Karnataka Chief Minister must be probed.
