New Delhi, Jul 20: Suhail Hindustani, who is becoming a whistleblower of sorts in the cash-for-votes scam that seem to be blowing out of proportion has now named Congress President Sonia Gandhi and Prime Minister Manmohan Singh as playing a major role in the scam. After Suhail was alleged to have played mediator between Amar Singh and BJP MP's, the latest allegation is sure to have repercussions of the highest order.

Suhail was quoted a saying to reporters, "I received calls from Amar Singh and Ahmed Patel (Political Secretary to Congress President Sonia Gandhi). Those close to Prime Minister (Manmohan Singh) called me and even from 10-Janpath (Gandhi's residence)." He was also questioned by crime branch officials in the Delhi police. He, however refused to reveal the others who had called him.

Suhail further added in his explosive revelations, "I challenge them. These people tried to bribe me. They asked me why are you aligned with BJP? Is your life going haywire? Come, align with us and we will give you some big posts like chairmanship. They told me that if you get one MP, we will give you Rs 5-10 crore as commission."

He also said, "People could not believe that Manmohan Singh and Congress party could stoop to this level to save the government." He divulged that Amar Singh told him that he was operating under the directions of the PM and Ahmed Patel to save the government.

News have merged that the Home Ministry has given the go-ahead to question Amar Singh who is believed to have offered bribe to BJP MP's during the trust vote in 2008.
