"Though I don't know what has actually happened... I was informed by some officials about the report being telecast by a TV channel alleging that several plots of BIADA have been allotted to the wards and relatives of my ministerial colleagues and officers," Kumar told reporters.
"The moment I came to know about it, I spoke to the chief secretary and asked him to go through the report and examine the documents of BIADA and find out as to whether allotments have been made in keeping with rules," he said.
Chief Secretary and BIADA officials would collect full details, compile a detailed report on the allotment of plots by BIADA and act in accordance with the rules. "They will also put up the concerned files before me," Kumar said.
Asked whether he would take action in the event of irregularities being noticed in allotment, Kumar said, "Let me go through the report... I am not not in a position to tell which are the irregularities committed and what action be proposed."
Kumar said he had already asked the authorities to bring the details of allotment of BIADA plots available on the government's websites.
