Bihar CM to face tough time over land allotment accusations
According to law, the allotment is supposed to be done after due process and proper tender. But it has come to light that the Nitish government has allotted several BIADA (Bihar Industrial Area Development Authority) plots to relatives of ruling BJP-JD(U) alliance legislators without inviting proper tender.
IBN7 reports revealed that Urvashi Sahi, daughter of Bihar Education Minister PK Sahi has been allotted 87,120 sq ft of land belonging to Bihar Industrial Development Authority.
Rehmat Fatima, daughter of high profile IAS officer and Chief Secretary of the Irrigation Department Afzal Amanullah has also been allotted 87,120 sq ft of land belonging to the state industrial development authority.
"The people who have got the land are IAS officers, children of ministers etc. So, if Nitish is to stay true to his name of 'Mr clean', he should investigate how these people have got the land," said RJD leader Abdul Bari Siddiqui.
Demanding a thorough probe into the land allotment done by the state government, the Opposition has also sought immediate removal of the Chief Minister following the exposure.
