Mumbai, Jul 18: The entire hue and cry over the murder case of senior journalist, Jyotirmoy Dey that has been creating mounting pressure over the police department once again came to the limelight when the Bombay High Court on Monday, Jul 18 dismissed the petitions seeking CBI probe into the case.

The J Dey assassination that shook the media fraternity also slammed the Mumbai police department for their shoddy probe procedure. Expressing dissatisfaction over the progress in investigation, media bodies sought transfer of the probe to the Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) contending the Mumbai police will never go to the root of the matter, as it is likely to hamper their own interest.

Also the media fell hard on the police by urging the court to transfer the the case to CBI. But, all the hard works of the media personnels went to vain when the Bombay High Court felt nothing wrong about the investigation. The Court found the probe procedure of the case carried on by the police dept quite satisfactory and good. So, it finally decided not involve the CBI into the case as the cops were doing quite a well job.

Also, the Maha government opposed the petitions in the Bombay High Court requesting that the J Dey murder case be handed over to the Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI).

The murder case of Jyotirmoy Dey, a senior investigative reporter from MiD DAY newspaper, who was gunned down by few bike-borne assasailants in broad daylight, has not yet come to an end. Though the cops were successful in tracking few culprits in connection with the murder, the key brain behind the entire tale is still moving free.
