New Delhi, Jul 18: The Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) has decided to conduct a fresh round of interrogation to grill former Telecom Minister A Raja and two others accused in the 2G spectrum case. The questioning is of utmost importance since there are reports that A Raja is expected to bust the role of the Prime Minister in the scam. He is expected to reveal that the PM was aware of the scam in 2008.

The Delhi Court has given the CBI the go-ahead in its order at the Patiala House court. The go-ahead was given by Special CBI Judge O P Saini that has let the CBI interrogate A Raja along with former Telecom secretary Siddhartha Behura and Reliance ADAG Group MD Gautam Doshi for an hour each at the court complex to get additional details on the scam and how it was carried out.

The CBI is yet to file its second supplementary charge sheet in the case. The three accused is most likely to be questioned on Monday between 2pm and 5pm. The CBI had recently pleaded with the court to let them question the accused. The CBI had stated that they should be let to question the accused afresh over the whole new allegations that have surfaced on the 2G scam.

The CBI application had read, "Further investigation is being carried out and three accused are required to be examined in judicial custody in interest of the case." The CBI had also sought the court's permission to submit a total of 28 additional documents and a list of 11 witnesses to support its charge sheets filed on Apr 2 and Apr 25, 2011.
