Guntur (AP), Jul 12: Andhra Pradesh Minister for Rural Development M V Prasad today (Jul 12) politely turned down the appeal by a small group of united AP activists, mostly boys under 15 years, to resign taking a leaf from the book of his Telangana counterparts.

The Minister told the young protesters at his residence in Chandramouli Nagar here that resignations offer no solution to the complex and sensitive Telangana issue.

The Congress high command is looking into the statehood issue and "I am sure an amicable solution will be evolved," Prasad said. As the protesters were unrelenting, the police whisked them away and released them later.
