YS Sachan death a case of murder: Reports
The report was submitted by Rajesh Upadhyaya, Chief Judicial Magistrate (CJM) during the hearing of a PIL which sought CBI investigation into the death.
The report was submitted to the District Magistrate, District Judge, Lucknow and SSP on Jul 11.
Uttar Pradesh police on Tuesday, Jul 12 arrested Lucknow Chief Medical Officer (CMO), AK Shukla over financial embezzlement case.
Shukla, who is also an accused in the murder case of deputy CMO, Dr Yogendra Singh Sachan, has been arrested over mishandling the funds of National Rural Health Mission.
However, Shukla has so far denied any connection with Sachan's murder as he had claimed earlier that he (Shukla) was clueless about listing his name in the FIR of the murder case.
Meanwhile, there are reports that the High Court reserved its judgment in the Sachan murder case and judgement will be pronounced on Aug 14.
Sachan was found dead in an unused toilet of the hospital where he was undergoing treatment.
The postmortem report revealed six injury marks on the body of Sachan including on neck, elbow, thigh and wrist. He was arrested on charges of murdering BP Singh, a CMO on Jun 17. BP Singh was murdered on Apr 2, 2011 over charging the irregularities in purchasing drugs and equipments under the National Rural Health Mission (NRHM).
