41-year-old James Vernon McVay has been taken in police custody as he was accused of killing a 75-year-old woman near Madison on Saturday, Jul 2.
Police sources said that the accused entered the victim's house and stabbed her and fled in a vehicle which was stolen from the victim's house.
While informing about all crime charges against McVay, police sources said, "He's being held here in jail." The detainee has been charged with additional charges like knowingly fleeing away from a police officer, possession of drug paraphernalia, operating a motor vehicle without owner's consent and driving a vehicle while intoxicated.
Holding a press conference on the murder case, the police spokesperson blasted the bomb in the public that the alleged mastermind of the homicide expressed his desire to kill the president.
