Fake Google+ Invite app hits Android Market
Google restricted the access to Google+ and currently, only a few got the chance to taste the Google+ pie. Google has came up with an official Google+ app in Android and those who have the Google+ access can use this app to login to the Google+. But a new app dubbed as 'Google+ Invite' is doing rounds than the official app.
The Google+ Invite app available in Android Market promises access to Google+, but it's reportedly a misleading application that can't offer access to Google+. The description of the Google+ Invite app in Android Market says, "Request Google+ access here. App launch google+ invitation page directly from google on your mobile."
Some of the users downloaded the app and tried to access Google+, but failed to gain the access. One blogger reported that Google+ Invite app "comes with display ads including the notification ads that are very irritating."
While going through reviews for this apps, most of them revealed that it was a "Spam" and one review reads, "Come on Google get this removed. Its spam, spyware, malware and fake, I've had to change my password because of this."
Another review says, "Doesn't work. It makes u feel that this app is by google and asks for mail address. This may invite spam from unknown parties."
Similarly, we reported another bogus message doing rounds on Google+ Invite. Security experts warned of a false Google+ Invite that leads to a leads to a pharmacy website set up to sell the likes of Viagra, Cialis and Levitra to the unwary.
