Maria Susairaj leaves Mumbai fearing threat to life

Mangalore, Jul 5: Neeraj Grover murder accused and acquitted Maria Susairaj, who was released from prison on Jul 3 made up her mind to take the road to Mangalore to avoid the media galore.

Susairaj decided to cancel her flight to Bangalore and chose to travel by road after witnessing the public outrage in Mumbai following her release from the jail. The members of MNS also threatened her after she was out from the jail.

According to sources, Maria's family sold their property in Mysore after she became famous for her involvement in the country's most brutal murder.

Maria under threat in Mumbai followed advice from near ones and left Mumbai. Her lawyer has also advised her to be tight lipped till matters don't resolve.

Maria was expected to reach Mangalore on Jul 4 but there is no confirmation on whether she has already reached Mangalore.

Maria Susairaj along with her Naval officer boyfriend and fiance murdered television executive Neeraj Grover after the latter found him with Maria in her flat.

While Maria was let off after she served a term of 3 years in the jail, Jerome was sentenced for 10 years in jail. Maria's release has attracted public outrage as many are of the opinion that she was let off lightly by the Mumbai High Court.
