Mumbai, Jul 5: Kannada actress Maria Susairaj, who is convicted in TV Executive Neeraj Grover's murder case, escaped from Mumbai to avoid outrage of people over her release from jail. But Bollywood director Ram Gopal Verma (RGV) has landed in a fresh trouble with his movie offer to the "murder mastermind" actress.

RGV accused BJP's youth wing Bharatiya Janata Yuva Morcha (BJYM) of threatening him for his desire to cast Maria in his next movie - Not A Love Story.

Filing a case against BJYM workers, RGV said, "Just lodged a complaint with the Versova police against the BJP Yuva Morchas threat to me on the Maria Susairaj issue."

The director also alleged, "Other organizations warnings I got to hear from the media but the BJP (Bhartiya Janata Party) sent a signed warning letter directly to my office."

A Mumbai session court had convicted Maria and his fiance Emily Gerome Mathew in Grover murder case. Gerome was convicted for culpable homicide not attempting to murder case and received 10 years of imprisonment. Maria was convicted for destroying evidence and was released from jail as she has already spent more than three years which is the punishment for such offense.

Meanwhile, reports claimed that Maria, under threat in Mumbai, followed advice from near ones and left Mumbai. Her lawyer has also advised her to be tight lipped till matters don't resolve.

Maria was expected to reach Mangalore on Jul 4 but there is no confirmation on whether she has already reached Mangalore.
