Sex racket in Srinagar: Poor women caught in net

Srinagar, Jul 3: Jammu Kashmir police arrested thirteen people including four women in a sex racket case in a re-known hotel in Srinagar. The sex racket has once again showed that how some powerful people continue to use women from poor families and take advantage of their (poor women's) helplessness.

After taking the people in their custody, police sources said, "During the raid on hotel, we arrested 10 people. Subsequently three more were arrested. Investigation of the case is still on, but it was pretty organized."

One of the hotel staff said informed about the work culture of the main culprits of the racket as he stated, "Waiters would call girls and boys over phone. Then they were being provided a room for an hour or so. They would commit wrong in the room."

Sources informed that police is trying to arrest the alleged main culprit, the 65-year-old owner of the hotel. According the investigation report the women, whose names have popped up in the case, were from very poor families and the ring leader of the women, however, is still at large.
