Major fire breaks out near Rajghat on Jul 3
New Delhi, Jul 3: A major fire broke out at a power house near Rajghat in New Delhi on Sunday, Jul 3. The blaze was reported to have taken place at 11:40 am and over 23 fire tenders were rushed to the spot, the officials said.
Reports say a short circuit sparked off the fire. According to reports, twenty three fire tenders are battling the fire. No causalities have been reported so far.
Rajghat Power Station is located at NCT Delhi. The power plant is one of the coal based power plants of Indraprastha Power Generation Co. Ltd.( IPGCL).
Authorities say this was a medium grade fire. It is still not clear if this fire will affect power supply in some parts of the capital. Sources, however, say that power generation at the station has been stopped for now.
