Two new hospitals to come up in south Kashmir

Srinagar, Jul 1: Two new hospitals will soon come up in south Kashmir's Kulgam and Anantnag districts, an official spokesman said here. The two hospitals will be constructed at an estimated cost of nearly Rs 14 crore, he said.

State Health Minister Sham Lal Sharma laid the foundation stone of the two hospitals, to be constructed at Dooru in Anantnag and Sadiwara in Kulgam, during his two-day visit of the area yesterday.

"To strengthen the health care facilities in the area, new buildings of sub-district hospital Dooru will be constructed at a cost of Rs 12.25 crore and primary health centre Sadiwara at an estimated cost of Rs 1.43 crore," the spokesman said.Sharma also inaugurated a Blood Bank, developed at a cost of Rs 90 lakh.
