Mumbai: Rave orgainser's 'Shanti Yatra' in police net, held

Mumbai, Jul 1: The man, who organised a lavish rave party at the outskirts of Mumbai under the code "Shanti Yatra", has been arrested by the police on Friday, Jul 1. Aparajit Mittal will be taken to Mumbai court later on Friday.

The COO of the 3-star Mount View resort in Karjat, where the party was orgainsed on last Sunday (Jun 26), was the fifth person who was detained by the Mumbai police. An Anti-narcotics unit Inspector, Anil Jadhav was also arrested as he was caught in the police net at the resort and was accused of supplying drugs at the venue.

Earlier, police held almost 300 young-stars, in the age-group between 20 to 25 years. 63 girls were also there in the party. However, most of them paid Rs 1,000 and were freed, media reports informed.

Detailing on the findings at the rave party, the official revealed that shocking amount of drugs were found in the youngsters' night party. Police seized huge amount of drugs which included 450 milligram (mg) of cocaine, 2.5 kg of ganja and more than 300 millilitre (ml) of what is well-known as 'liquid drops'. Liquid drops is an expensive narcotic substance consumed by mixing it in sugar cubes.

According to sources, 'Shanti Yatra' was the code language with which the organisers of the party sent their invitations through social networking sites like Orkut, Facebook etc. The orgainsers reportedly targeted the young party-goers from Richi Rich families. Sources also claimed that actor Vinod Khanna's son Sakshi Khanna was also present at the part.
