Anna Hazare to meet Sonia Gandhi on Jul 2

New Delhi, Jul 1: According to media reports, Anna Hazare will meet Congress leader Sonia Gandhi on Jul 2 at 4 pm.

Meanwhile, Hazare met the BJP leaders on Jul 1(today) to gather support for the Jan Lokpal Bill.

The meeting conducted at the BJP headquarters was attended by Arun Jaitley and Sushma Swaraj among other top leaders from the party.

Accompanied by RTI activist, Arvind Kejriwal and Kiran Bedi, Anna had earlier met LK Advani and was welcomed to come to brief other members of the party.

Anna had ealier met Chief Minister of Bihar, Nitish Kumar to garner his support in his fight with the government to introduce the Lokpal Bill. Nitish said that he would take a stand after deciding with his party regarding the same.

Team Anna was set to meet Sonia Gandhi on Jun 30 but the meeting was cancelled by the Congress.

"From his side he has cleared the thing which is good enough, that he is prepared for that. So I appreciate his approach but the one thing is that it is the political party and people, they have to think about it that. Either today we have Manmohan Singh as the Prime Minister, other day some different person also will be there. In our party also we are discussing this issue thoroughly and after that we will make up our mind and we will take the view on it," Gadkari had said earlier before leaving to Germany to attend a cultural fest to mark the 30th anniversary of Sri Sri Ravishankar's Art of Living .
