Maya govt under pressure over Sachan case
After the mysterious murder of deputy CMO Dr Yogendra Singh Sachan, the Lucknow police on Sunday, Jun 26 had lodged an FIR for murder and conspiracy in the case. Sachan was found dead under mysterious circumstances in a toilet in the jail hospital. His postmortem report revealed nine injury marks on the body including on neck, elbow, thigh and wrist.
There are several crucial questions raised about jail security. This has brought jail authorities and Sachan's boss - Lucknow Chief Medical officer AK shukla - who is also accused in the NHRM funds embezzlement case - under the scanner.
The UP police is under pressure to lodge a status report on the probe against Lucknow CMO AK Shukla. The police had registered a case against him on Thursday, April 7.
UP doctor, YK Pathak said, "Injury marks indicates that attempt was made to present homicide as suicide. All wounds could not have been inflicted by Dr Sachan himself. It's a case of homicide and not of suicide."
In fact, the forensic reports reveal that "Nobody can hang himself after his death. It is illogical to think when it's already written that injury nine is after his death there is no doubt it's a case of murder."
On the other side, Congress is leaving no stone unturned to hit the government for the deteriorating law and order situation. The party will also be meeting at 10 am to discuss strategy on Sachan's death, the Bhatta-Parsaul agitation and the Lakhimpur-Kheri rape cases.
