How do military-terrorist gunbattles bruise Jammu Kashmir?
Following a search operation at the region, firing started between the security forces and the terrorists at Shikargah in Tral area of Pulwama in the midnight of Sunday.
Government officials informed that the battle lasted for more than 12 hours and two militants were killed, though rejected to confirm the death news of two security personnel.
The identity and group affiliation of the slain militants are being ascertained, claimed the government sources. In another recent encounter, three Islamist militants, allegedly belonging to Lashkar-e-Toiba (LeT) terror group, were killed.
One of the encounters which paralysed the valley for more than 52 hours had occurred in Rajouri district of Kashmir. The deceased militants at Rajouri district also were believed to be a part of LeT.
