Master Blaster Sachin Tendulkar takes a loan to buy flat
Tendulkar has reportedly taken a loan to buy a 1-BHK flat in Panvel with a carpet area of 467 sq ft.
Sachin decided to go for a loan after he spent a whopping amount of Rs 39 crore with an additional amount of Rs 40 crore on a flat he bought at Perry Cross Road, Bandra. The price of the flat in Panvel is estimated to be Rs 24.88 lakh, said a article in DNA.
“Arjun wants to become a cricketer. As he wants to stay away from the limelight, Arjun prefers to hone his skills at the Karnala Sports Academy during weekends. The academy is very close to Panvel and Arjun can stay in the new flat instead of commuting to Bandra," said a source.
“Also, the proposed new international airport is just 3km away from the flat. So, it could be used as a halting place by the Tendulkars before flying anywhere," he added.
Tendulkar recently sold his premium luxury sports car '360 Modena Ferrari' to a businessman in Surat.
The Ferrari car, which was gifted to him by FIAT, after the Indian batting legend equaled Don Bradman's tally of 29 Test centuries.
This car was in news in 2003 after Tendulkar had requested for a customs duty waiver despite getting it as a gift and not winning it as a prize in a tournament
Later, government decided to exempt Sachin from paying around Rs 1.13 crore towards import duty for the vehicle.
