The meeting was attended by Kiran Bedi, Arvind Kejriwal and Manish Sisodia who highlighted the deliberations of the joint draft committee meetings and their views on the ideal LokPal Bill against the government's version. Bedi has been quoted as saying post the meeting, “The meeting was very encouraging. Advani told us the country needs an effective Lokpal. He heard us and requested us to make a detailed presentation before senior BJP leaders."
Manish Sisodia stated that they would also undertake meetings with other top BJP leaders before the all-party meeting scheduled to be held on July 3. Anna's team however reiterated that they were not looking for assurances but was only there to put across their points.
After there was no tangible consensus achieved in the last LokPal meet, that ended in a stand-off with the government, Anna's team is back to the fast solution of fasting. He will carry on with his earlier plan of fast-unto-death against corruption from Aug 16. The government is making all-efforts to better its relation with the civil society by making its stand loud and clear showing that they are committed to sweep away corruption from the system.
