Washington, Jun 22: According to a new poll, the people of Pakistan see India as a bigger threat than the Taliban and the al Qaeda. And quite surprisingly, they also disapprove of Operation Geronimo, carried out by US Navy SEALs that led to the killing of Osama bin Laden.

A poll released by Pew Research Centre, saw only 14 percent of Pakistani's who participated in the survey as saying that Laden's death was a good thing.

To the question as to who among India, the Taliban, or al-Qaida, is the biggest threat to their nation, a majority of Pakistanis (57 percent) say India, said the poll. However there is no dearth of people, in the country who seek better relations with India as almost seven in ten believe that increasing trade with the economic power-house will be a positive step.

In another significant question in the poll, 27 percent of the respondents have a favourable view about Lashkar e Taiba, followed by 12 percent each for the Taliban and the al Qaeda.

Pakistani's fear for India is reciprocated by the Indians as well. 65 percent of the Indian respondents have an unfavourable view about Pakistan while 45 percent believe that the neighbouring nation is a bigger threat than the Lashkar-e-Taiba (19 percent) or Naxalites (16 percent).
