The legal notice has been sent to the trustees over the recent money seizure issues in and around Sai Baba's place - Puttaparthi. After the details of the huge haul of cash and other valuables from Sai Baba's private chamber at the Puttaparthi ashram shocked the country, the police had seized a vehicle carrying a bag full of cash from Anantpur district of Andhra Pradesh. The cash was believed to have come from the Puttaparthi ashram.
Police claimed that the cash could be between Rupees 25-50 lakhs. They also added that the cash could be from the Sai trust as they are the only people capable of handling such a large amount of money around the area.
Also the police seized another two persons allegedly carrying a whopping Rs 5 crore. With the needle of suspicion falling on the Sai Central Trust, which recently initiated the task of opening Sai Baba's private chamber, the Yajur Mandir, rumours are doing the rounds that the cash was being siphoned off to secret locations with the knowledge of the trust members.
Rathnagar, in a statement had informed, 11.5 crore rupees, 98 kilo gold and 307 kilo silver have been found from Sai's secret chamber on Jun 17.
