Lucknow, Jun 20: It seems that Mayawati government in Uttar Pradesh is failing to protect the women in the state. Continuous rape and murder incidents showed Maywati's government as a failure. A 33-year-old woman on Jun 19 was gangraped and burnt alive.

Ahead of the assembly elections 2012, the rape and murder cases could prove as a major setback for the BSP supremo. It seems that women in Uttar Pradesh are safe neither at home nor outside.
